BLUE LINE SCUBA: COURSE POLICIES
PAYMENT AND ENROLLMENT
Payment is due when your course is first scheduled. Contact Carrie at 843-573-7573 to arrange enrollment. If she is unavailable, call Brooks at 843-505-0231. After payment, you will receive your BLS/SDI online course code. Payments are non-refundable. We accept cash, Cash App, credit cards, PayPal and Venmo. Checks must clear.
TRAINING AND DEADLINES
You may request your pool and quarry dates at the same time, but you must complete eLearning before getting in the pool. For pre-class questions about pool sessions or checkout dives, call Carrie at 843-573-7573. For day-of help, or if Carrie is unavailable, call Brooks at 843-505-0231. The four checkout dives take place over two separate days. Use the class request form on the Calendar page. Email requests are also accepted. Include the class, date, start time, and each diver’s full name and SDI email if available. Wait for your confirmation email before attending. A request or payment does not reserve a seat.
You have one year from purchase to complete the course and six months from the pool session to complete your open water days. Beyond these deadlines, you must start over and pay again.
WEATHER AND PUBLIC SAFETY CALLS
Many of our instructors are active public safety divers and may be called to a critical incident. Emergency duties take priority over training. If a session is affected, we will reschedule as soon as possible.
Open water dives are weather dependent and may be rescheduled at BLS’s discretion. Plan ahead for trips. Weather can delay training, and a certification date cannot be guaranteed.
ADDITIONAL COSTS
The Open Water course includes entry fees for its two scheduled quarry days. Additional Open Water quarry days cost $25 per day. For all other courses that use the quarry, entry is $25 per day, collected by BLS and paid directly to the quarry owner. Nitrox requires no diving and has no quarry fee. Quarry fees are non-refundable.
Travel courses do not include destination dive fees, transportation or lodging. For example, Blue Grotto admission, travel and hotel costs are separate from the course fee.
PRIVATE, FAMILY AND GROUP TRAINING
Private Open Water courses are available at an additional cost. Ask about family and group rates for three or more participants, and special rates for first responders, military members and their families.
INSTRUCTOR AUTHORITY
Our instructors have the final say over divers, dives and dive sites. They will cancel a dive if conditions are unsafe or the dive exceeds a diver’s abilities. BLS reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled class starts. Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the start time may incur a $50 late-cancellation fee to cover preparation and the reserved class space. You can cancel a pool or dive day by sending an email.
PAY A $50 LATE-CANCELLATION FEE
Use the PayPal button below or on the PAY page only if BLS has confirmed a fee is due. Email your diver name and class date with your payment receipt. Paying this fee does not reserve another class, but you cannot reschedule until it is paid. We are not heartless. But we need people to show up when they schedule!
