YOUR OPEN WATER COURSE
eLearning → Pool Session → Open Water Dives
Talk with us, enroll, and pay for your course. Review current prices on the Pay page or email BlueLineScuba@outlook.com (be sure to check your SPAM filter as well!). You may also pay in person at One More Chance Scuba. Complete your course within one year of purchase. During the process you will receive emails reminding you of classes and a weather email the day of the class to verify we are still on!
Read your enrollment email and keep it handy. It has all the info you need!
1. COMPLETE E-LEARNING ONLINE
Use the SDI code in your enrollment email. Activate it within 72 hours by signing in and opening the first chapter. The course usually takes five to six hours, and you can save your progress. Upload the headshot you want on your certification card. Contact SDI directly for help with your account or password.
DAN STUDENT INSURANCE: BEFORE YOU GET IN THE WATER
Blue Line Scuba will enroll you in DAN's free Student Membership Program before entry-level in-water training. This will give you access to DAN resources and training videos for the duration of your Open Water class.This helps us keep our prices lower! 2. TRAIN IN THE POOL
Complete eLearning before your pool session. Standard Saturday pool sessions run from 8 a.m. to noon Eastern. Check the Calendar for current dates and any special-session times. Arrive 15 minutes early, ready to prepare.
Bring your completed medical questionnaire, liability waiver (unless it is online) and eLearning Student Report, including missed questions. Use the live SDI/TDI forms portal for current documents. Follow the medical form instructions and obtain physician approval before entering the water if required. Ask us how to provide paperwork. Do not submit medical information through a general website message.
3. COMPLETE YOUR TWO DIVE DAYS
After the pool, complete quarry Dives 1–2, then Dives 3–4 on a separate day. You may request all your training dates together, but you cannot complete all four quarry dives in one day. Use the Calendar for each session’s current start and finish times. Your confirmation provides your dates, times and location details.
HOW TO REQUEST YOUR TRAINING DATES
Use the class request form on the Calendar page. Email requests are also accepted. A request or payment does not reserve a seat. Wait for your confirmation email before attending. Class sizes are limited, so please do not just show up. For pre-class questions, call Carrie at 843-573-7573. For day-of help, or if Carrie is unavailable, call Brooks at 843-505-0231. Remember to always check your spam filter!
WHAT THE COURSE INCLUDES
eLearning, pool training, two quarry visits, training equipment and air fills. Entry fees for the two scheduled quarry days are included in the Open Water course price. Provided equipment includes BCD, weights, regulators, console, surface marker buoy, cutting device, cylinders and computer.
WHAT YOU BRING
Mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit and booties. Ask us before using your own BCD or regulators for training. Bring water, snacks, towels, sun protection and insect repellent. Restroom access is limited or unavailable at some training sites.
BEFORE YOU PAY
No refunds are available once eLearning is purchased. Additional quarry days needed to complete training cost $25 per day, but this is rare. Weather cancellations do not incur quarry entry fees and will be rescheduled as soon as possible. Certification dates cannot be guaranteed, so plan ahead.
