In Memoriam: Scott

Scott was our assistant instructor and a cancer survivor who lived thirteen years after beating stage four cancer. We believe it was just out of spite to prove his doctors wrong!

We lost Scott in 2025 when the cancer returned with a vengeance. If you ever dive the USS Spiegel Grove in Florida, you can visit him at the American flag.

From the angry face, to his favorite phrase, “Bite Me,” to his favorite hand signal, this was Scott.

Also, the silt. Lots of silt. His buoyancy (or lack thereof) was famous.

We miss you, old man!
