Meet Brooks “Greybeard” Harvey, SDI instructor and the man behind Blue Line Fills. In the photo, he’s outfitting students and helping them get ready for the water. The beard makes him easy to find on land. Underwater, look for the white fins.
Brooks has been diving for more than 20 years and became an instructor in 2025. Teaching gives him a chance to share that experience and help students build skills, gain confidence, and enjoy their time underwater. There is always something more to learn, even after two decades.
He also served as a deputy sheriff for several years. He’s a jack of all trades who enjoys figuring things out, fixing what needs attention, and getting the job done. That practical approach carries into his teaching and equipment work.
Through Blue Line Fills, Brooks fills scuba tanks, performs visual inspections, services regulators, and handles hydro testing for the local dive community.
